G'dday All,

I am trying to understand some basics of J2ME and have run into some problems. So I am hoping that someone can shed some light on this. The code example I am using is found on Sun's website,

In this particular example, if the menu option TestList is chosen, it produces a set of three options. One of the modifications I made to the code was that TestList was changed to IMPLICIT type. The next modification I was planning to make was that if one of the options was chosen from TestList then a StringItem would be displayed.

To be honest I dont know how to implement the second part of my modification. How does one go about implementing such a change. My confusion sets in when I look at the final ELSE part in "commandAction" on how the execution of the main menu was implemented.

Any tips offered would be greatly appreciated.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
