G'dday All,

I am trying to understand some basics of J2ME and have run into some problems. So I am hoping that someone can shed some light on this. The code example I am using is found on Sun's website, http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/articles/ui/GuiTests.java

In this particular example, if the menu option TestList is chosen, it produces a set of three options. One of the modifications I made to the code was that TestList was changed to IMPLICIT type. The next modification I was planning to make was that if one of the options was chosen from TestList then a StringItem would be displayed.

To be honest I dont know how to implement the second part of my modification. How does one go about implementing such a change. My confusion sets in when I look at the final ELSE part in "commandAction" on how the execution of the main menu was implemented.

Any tips offered would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
V
