I'm looking for a way to allow a person to speak into their cell phone and have that translated into text. Ideally I'd like it to be able to be done "through" WML - i.e., they log in (on the phone) to a website, and then speak into the phone and some WML plug-in is able to capture the voice. Is this possible?

In what ways is it possible to capture (and translate) voice from a cell? Is the technology from this way behind? Are there Java programs to do this?

Search google for VoiceXML and you will find a lot of voice-based browser solutions. If you want to mix voice tags with visual tags in the same WML page, you would need a SALT based solution such as the MS Speech Server.

Thanks for the reply!

Any idea how I can now get my server to accept incoming calls so I can utilize that audio to make it into text?
