Hi
If two computers know each others IP no they can comunicate directly instead of via a server.

When I surf with my mobile as a modem I get an dynamic IP adress.

Is it posible for me to communicate with a friends mobile with help of some kind of Java ME application if we both know each others dynamic IP no?

How will the connection work? With some kind of sockets (which midp/CLDC supports that)?

Thanks for any tips.

/Micke

You can do socket connection between two mobiles using J2ME if you know their IPs. However, it depends on whether the wireless operator's firewall would let the traffic through. I am using T-Mobile in the USA and they firewall anything other thing HTTP and SMTP traffic.
