Hey all.
I have no knowledge in J2ME and I am thinking to buy a book.
I have this two choices :
Programming Wireless Devices with the Java2 Platform, Micro Edition
MIDP style guide for J2ME
Michael Yuan has a great book for J2ME, but it is for experience folk, right ?
I don't need a book that explains MIDP and CLDC only, I want examples and working applications...
any ideas ??

Yes, you are right that my book does not cover the API basics of J2ME/MIDP. However, for beginners, it provides a useful survey of the mobile Java technology landscape (e.g., mobile database, security, web services beyond standard MIDP etc.) It may or may not be what you need. Just thought that I should mention that.

If you are looking for an API tutorial book, this book is very good

Wireless Java: Developing with J2ME (SECOND EDITION) by Jonathan Knudsen

I second Michael's suggested reading of Jonathan Knudsen's book, plus you still get the added value of the Technical Reviewer, Michael Yuan.
