hi everyone, is it possible to access inventory application from mobile devices? Do i have to use JSP pages and XML as a portal which connect the mobile devices with inventory application, or is there other alternatives?
I'm using jbuilderx weblogic edition with tomcat 4.1 stand-alone.

regards,
paula

Well there are a lot of different options, some which a J2ME application will do fine with, and some that you would consider not using J2ME.

Obviously, you want to create a little "network" trafficing of data as possible. An INventory database can be huge. Does the device need everything, or just a small portion of the database.

Is there a budget to go out and get a bigger RDBMS that has a synchronization functionality with mobile devices? (PointBase has such ability)

These are questions that need to be answered to help answer your question.
