does J2ME have List Box???

i want to make an application in which a ListBox object displays strings.
but i want the list to have a scrollbar and stuff.
is this possible in J2ME?

Check out the List class in javax.microedition.lcdui package. You might consider using List.IMPLICIT as the List type.

i need a list which has a border and a scrollbar.
is it possible?

I believe the appearance and the behaviour of the List will vary depending on the device and may differ from what you see in your emulator. For example, in my emulator, textfields have borders but when I run the same MIDlet on my PDA, there is no border. I don't get a border in an implicit list in my emulator or on my PDA but you may have a different experience. I don't think you can guarantee that any particular device will have a border on a List.

As for scrollbars, I only get scrollbars on my implicit lists when I have enough data in them to justify the scrollbar. Put more data in your List and you will probably see that you DO get a scrollbar when it is bigger than will fit on one screen.
