Hi ...

I've tested a MIDlet that runs it self every 60 secs ..

It worked fine on my Nokia 6230 ...

But there is only one problem :

That every time the MIDlet launchs, a prompts is jump on the screen as a Reminder asking to Start the MIDlet !!

Who can I get rid of the thing ??

I,E, I want the MIDlet to run directly on time without any prompt or need to start it manuallly ..

How to do so ???

You need to sign your application using a trusted digital certificate. You would have to enter a business agreement with Nokia or your wireless operator to use such certificate.

Hi Michael - your reply is the first mention I have seen about the need for an operator signed midlet. I have a developer signed midlet (Verisign) and have the same frustration trying to implement true background push on the 6230 because of the constant prompt to manually launch the midlet. Can you point me to the right place in Nokia where I can get the necessary detail to enable this. We are currently working directly with an operator who don't have any idea.

Thanks
Michael

Did you use PushRegistry.registerAlarm methods ?

I tried this method on Nokia 6230 but it was not working. Midlet didn't started.

Hi guys
I would be greateful if any of you will share your experiebce in using registerAlarm(... on real phones.

I am not able to start a midlet with a midlet on a real phone (LG 3G) but it works on WTK.

Thanks
