Hello everyone,

Is it possible for a midlet to automatically remove itself from the mobile device (e.g. after 2 weeks from its installation)?

Good question, but I also think the answer lies in the Application Loader, which is not accessible throught J2ME. So the answer should be no. It is also the answer for automatically installing MIDlets on a device.

The main reason is for security. By giving the ability to add or remove MIDlets on a persons device without them knowing it is giving a huge ability to Hackers and those that would like to do harm to your device.
