Hi!

is it possible to control the display's backlight, so that the lights are always turned on after starting the MIDlet?

Thanks!!

Firstly, if the user has started the MIDlet then won't the backlight be on anyway?

Secondly, there is no mechanism in MIDP 2.0 for turning the backlight on or off, but there is a method to flash the backlight on and off for specified period of time, if supported by the device.

See Display.flashBacklight() in the API.
