auto shutdown

i am trying to figure out how to programatically shutdown a motorala v60 or a generic cell phone(which i guess is not possible?? please prove me wrong)
any suggestions?

You cannot access those features of a phone as that would be a security breach, that could allow bad people to do bad things to people's phones.

So, no you cannot auto shutdown a phone from J2ME.

you can however do autostart of midlet on some midp2 handsets..

thank you all for the response. But if I want to do auto shutdown for a specific phone, how would I go about doing it? not necesarily using java..

I think Moto v60 is a BREW device. If it then there might be provision in BREW.
