My Aim is data transfer between PC to PDA/PDA TO PC using remote Synchronization via modem(landline).i am using treo model palm os. i downloaded cdk kit. what are other softwares i need to test?. Is i need palm desktop for hotsync?. And how can i test Jsync sample application example.

As far as i know, you don't need the Palm Desktop in your development not unless you are doing a Palm Desktop application. You have mentioned that you downloaded the CDK, i guess that's enough for you to start on. You also need to run the JSyncInstaller to install jars needed by HotSync to run your java classes. I have developed few JSync applications before but i never went running the sample applications. I guess you need to compile the java files then double click the Registry entry file for the HotSync to locate your java classes. Other than that you need to manually register your classes with the HotSync. Make sure the files needed are in the proper directory like the jSYnc13.dll, jsync.jar, jsyncgen.jar and so forth... For additional help, there are some documents that comes with the Conduit Development Kit. Try reading those which might help you a lot.
