Guys:

I have a couple of questions that I have not been able to find the answers anywhere:

1) Is there a way to make eclipse 3.X work CVM? We have some logic + a plugin that needs to be tested against CVM.

Is this possible? Or do we need to download the trial versions of WSDD?

2) I read in a article a few days back that the fate of CDC may be improving in the near future.

Is this for real or just PR?

Have you tried the "Series 80 Developer Platform 2.0 SDK for Symbian OS - For Personal Profile" from Nokia together with the EclipseME plugin (eclipseme.sf.net)?

No. I will try it.

The gist of your suggestion is:

eclipseme allows the IDE to use J2ME VMS.

The Nokia's SDK provides the VM and the rest of the packages needed to run PP with all the features.

I want to be sure that I follow the steps correctly to minimize needless replies/questions from me.

Thanks a lot!!

I installed the SDK and it seams that EclipseME recognizes it (point at: "C:\Symbian\7.0s\S80_DP2_0_PP_SDK").

Afterwards I get a problem - the plugin doesn't initialize the library paths correctly and Eclipse cannot find the libraries. I believe though, this is a minor problem and it will be fixed soon.

I hope that afterwards the emulator will work ok from Eclipse.

Tell me if you get different results.
