acces points and J2ME help me  RSS feed

Hi all,

I developped a J2ME to connect to my server.I would like know if there are several acces points, is it possible that my J2ME choose automatIcally the right acces point.

Not that I'm aware of. When you start the midlet, it will use whatever the phone's default connection is set at. On some phones, the user can manually override the default connection setting to specify one, but I'm not aware of any way the midlet can control which connection is used.

It seems that once a midlet is signed, any message is adressed to the user to sign him that his applicaton is going to connect to a server.I tested that it works with my emulator. I was wondering how my appication find the right acces point.

Why am I wondering this question ?
Because sometimes there are several acces points.In my case, there are one for the WAP GPRS.It enables to download my midlet.And another acces point to enable my midlet to acces my server.It is not convenient.

So far I don't know how to resolve it.
