Hi all,

When I capture an image with the Nokia 6630 and increase the size of the image it comes through badly blurred. Here is the following code I use to capture the image.

byte[] raw = mVideoControl.getSnapshot("encoding=png&width=640&height=480");

Is there a better way to capture an image? Or is this a problem with java and the nokia 6630? Any help is always appreciated.

Thanks

To determine whether this is a Java related problem, you can try to take a picture with the built-in camera app and see if the same problem occurs.

I have read reviews where they did complain about the picture quality of the 6630.

I tried the built in camera app and it works great. The quality is surprisingly good with a res of 1280x960. I did a search through the Nokia forums and found a thread where someone was having image quality problems through Java using the 3650. Here is a link to the thread
http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/showthread.php?s=bcff2d706cb27283e296947e9bc33fb8&threadid=18988&highlight=%2Aimage+capture%2A

Apparently the maximum possible resolution you can obtain with the Java API's on the 3650 is 240x180 and the default is 160x120. Would it be possible this bug has been passed down to the 6630? Any ideas?
