midlet icon

I have designed a icon which i want to use to display my application.
I am using motorola phone.
But, I wonder that why my midlet icon cannot display and it display the default icon???
I have try it in Nokia, it works to show the icon, but it cannot show the icon in motorola phone and sony ericson, can somebody tell me why? and got anyway to solve it?

Welcome aboard!

Some of the non-Nokia phones are quite strict with regard to the midlet icon. Some cannot exceed certain dimensions (x and y), and some must exactly match specific dimensions.

If no-one can give you those dimensions on here, try hunting out the java technical specification docs for these phones on the web.

Also, in some phones you need to set the MIDlet-Icon property in the jad file as well, so you could try that first.

And make sure you have the case of the .png (or .PNG) correct as well...
