sending image over bluetooth

Hi all,

I want to send an image over bluetooth, is it able to be made using GCF? can anyone gives some code for example?

Sorry about not having any code snippets, but basically you will have to convert the image into a byte array and pass that through the connection.

Yes but could you use this procedure to send many pics at regular intervals using bluetooth. That is I want to send 5 images (each 2KB) in one second so that it seems that as if a movie clip is being played at the mobile side.

I guess that nothing is stopping you to try to implement it and gather some empirical evidence of bandwidth and computer time needed to perform the task.

I hope you know that you should use "Bluetooth Serial Port" for your needs?

I personally think that you'll be able to send 10KB/sec over Bluetooth, but I'm not that sure about the time needed to compute each of 5 images. In other words, it is pretty much possible that you'll have a framerate below 5fps if you're pulling images from camera for instance.

Bluetooth serial connections run over RFCOMM. Even if you use a BT MIDP2.0 CommConnection it'll probably run over the top of an RFCOMM connection so you might as well set it up yourself.

You may be able to use a JSR082 BT OBEX connection - I'd have a look at the spec for that first. It's designed to do what you want it to.
