Hi,

I went through the MMAPI documentation and found that it has support for RTP and RTSP protocol for streaming media. But when I got the protocols supported using the getSupportedProtocols API i didnt get RTP or RTSP.Further going through the documentation I found that custom procols can be implemented by extending datasource class. So I would like to do Mobile streaming media using RTP protocol by writing my own custom RTPSourceStream and RTPDatasource.

Is this the right approach for doing Streaming media in mobile applications. If yes, can u help me in telling how to write a RTPdatasource.

If this approach is wrong, please suggest on how I have to proceed to achieve this.

Thanks and Regards,
Revathi

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
