how to make an image whirled

hi
i'm doing Image processing in j2me.In that i want to whirl a small portion of the image.for that i've have change the angle of pixels values.only changing the angle pixels is the idea I got but how to change the angle I don't and i'm void of where to start.i want only small portion to be whirled and not the rotation.
if anyone has any idea please help me

To do this you will need to create an array buffer to copy the RGB int[] values from the original image altering the value orders to cause the desired effect. Then create another image object using that RGB int[] to initialize with.

It is very manual, however you might also be able to use the Graphics object to help with some of this process. I would google for an algorithm to cause the swirl effect, and then see how that can be used to work with int[].

thanx for ur reply i didn't get ur idea properly altering the values order means is there nay necessary to change angle or something
why i'm asking this one of my frd do this in c++ using some angle and all.
it is possible to do like tht in j2me?or no need of going to tht?
can u explain me how to alter the value order
