nokia 6610 deployment problems

Guys, it's making me crazy, i have bought a new phone Nolia 6610 to try my midlets, but nothing is working, the simplest midlet when sending it to the phone using Nokia suite, on the phone it only allows me to delete it, can't run it! why is that, is it a JVM version problem? please help me for i have a project for my uni. that i need to deliver.

hi,
i am new to the J2ME technology , just start reading about it
while reading i notice that the developer must becarefull about the MIDP version that he use because there is some mobiles that does not support the second version (MIDP 2.0), so it would be better to check the device compatability on devices
