Is it possible to use http over bluetooth? I have a mobile application that needs to communicate with a web service via bluetooth, is this possible with the current versions of J2ME and Bluetooth API??

Thanks

Not sure what you mean.

You want to access a Web Server through Bluetooth. That is a very small internet. All within a 10 meter radius.

Why not just use the HTTPConnection.

A MIDP 2.0 device will supports HttpConnection, it doesnt matter to you if its Bluetooth or not.

But if you want to handle the Blueetooth connection yourself, for HTTP service or otherwise, you should check the "Java APIs for Blueetooth", JSR-82

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
