Hi All,
I am curious whether the following is possible, a server application sends a text sentence, for example road directions to the phone and I want the client application/MIDlet to read what was sent so that the driver can hear instead of reading. Could you please share your views whether this is possible. Thanking you in advance. Regards.

Theoretically, on a select few phones, which have an advanced sound chip (and an API to go with it) and are spankingly fast, you might be able port something like FreeTTS to it.
Key word: Theoretically.
