hello guys,

its funny how my application(concerning the rms part) runs fine in the emulator environment and misbehaves on the phone itself.
its suppose to delete the record ID it set initially and replace it with the old one , but after replacing it , i found out that it has only succeded in appending the initial record to the new one and stored it .
why is this? i now resorted to delete the whole Record Store and creating a new one and adding the new record and its still misbehaving the same way.
what do you people think is the problem.

Lex.

Probablt, just a loose nut behind the keyboard.

Yeah, I find RMS, when trying to delete just one record out of a few to be a pain. Having to first find the record to get the ID, then calling delete on it. I would like to find it and delete at the same time and not have to loop through all the records.

When I want to replace stuff in RMS, I tend to now just delete them all and recreate the data. This is fine if there is a simple small amount of data. But if there is more data, then I wouldn't recommend it.

thanks mark , my keyboard screws are complete

i think tahts the best, deleting the whole record and repopulating again.
but dont you think that will consume a lot of memory?

It depends on how much data you have in your RMS. Usually if it gets "large" a relative term, I would look at other sources of storing data like Pointbase.
