Hi All,
I want to display Sinhalees Characters(Country: Sri Lanka) in my MIDlet. I found the following article which explains the way to have non-English characters Multilingual Wireless Application development. In this article the Auther is saying:
The Arial Unicode MS font is so big that equipping a cellular phone with it is impractical. An attractive alternative would be a location-based service that automatically downloads the Unicode font for the user's locale. As soon as a new phone is turned on and connected to the wireless carrier, it would download the Unicode font for the user's locale, or -- even better -- it would let the user select fonts to download, so text could be read in both Arabic and English
.

What I want to know is that, whether we can make the application to download a Sinhalees FONT, use that Font type to display the characters in the MIDlet, so that the words are in Sinhala Language.

Could you please answer these questions. Thanks in advance....

Hi Ransika. In the other thread that you posted there was talk about Unicode and jsut using that class to achieve your goals.

Also in another thread you posted the same question again. Please refrain from duplicate posting.

I am closing this thread, so that the other one can be used instead.
