hi,
i wanted to know the difference between wap and http. is it true that wap is a "smaller brother" of http without all the bells and whistles, like package acknowlegment etc. or am i way off line . thnaks.

Well sort of. When I hear brother I think of the same stuff but a smaller subset.

Call WAP the smaller distant cousin of HTML. WAP uses WML, which is a tags, but not html tags, and there are not a lot of these tags.

If that makes any sense.

go to www.w3schools.com and tatke their tutorial on WAP/WML. It takes like 15 minutes and you will know everything about WML.
