Hello everyone - I need your help. I am being told that it is impossible to interact with a Java application during a phone call on a standard Java/RTOS phone. I'm not buying it. Does anyone know of a way to make this happen? Like, if the app releases the display, does that let it still run during a call? What other way might there be? If you think it's impossible, feel free to let me know that. Help please! Thanks.

The Application Manager will pause your MIDlet, while a call is in progress. It will unpause after the call is done.

In some, but I repeat some, devices are mutli-threaded meaning you can run both at the same time. But these are only a few devices. Very rare on Cell Phones.
