Didn't he do something like pass 11,000 posts just recently, and no one recognized him for that.
Well congrats Jim to the 11,000 post and for the honorable mention in Max's new book on Regex.

You're right. I even think I noticed that out of the corner of my eye.
Congratulations on your staying power, my friend.

It's just that Jim's post count is getting so big that it's getting difficult to interpret it with my limited CPU cycles...

Thank you, thank you.
I should point out that Thomas Paul has had three of these anniversaries pass unnoted since he passed the 10k mark; I just assumed that after 10000 posts, the novelty of anniversaries had worn off. Well, now that we know that's the case - where's Tom's party? We're late. Here, I'll start:
Congratulations, Tom!
Great Job!!
You Rule!!!

My prediction for 2005: a major IT publisher approaches Jim to make a three-volume series titled "Jim Yingst: The Chronicle" out of his posts at JavaRanch.

All we need to do is to fetch Jim's posts and arrange them into chapters. Publishers will kill each other for this stuff. And it's easy, click-copy-paste, click-copy-paste... Even a gang of monkeys can do that.

Congratulations, Jim!

How does he manage to do all that! It's difficult enough putting one word before another and punctuating.

Congratulations, Jim. I'd buy Jim's book but please put a pretty cover on it so I can put it on the coffee table.
