Hello all,

I had open a connection between my midlet and webserver by using cellphone.

The webserver has this log when my midlet attempts:

HttpCode:200 Date ec 05 HttpVersion:Http/1.1 Size in Bytes:38
Referer:-
Agent rofile/MIDP-1.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0

The midlet seem like has established an successful connection between it and the webserver.

But after, i'm given an IOException.

Can anyone tell me why this happened? What is the posibility to make that happened?

Thank you.

But after that, an IOException is thrown to my

Maybe the exception happens for a different reason that just getting a connection. There are more things that would throw an IOException from the server. Can you post the Exception? Is there any exceptions on the server side?

Yes, the exception is cause by other things. Because it can run on the wtk emulator but not when i deploy it to my device (Nokia N-Gage QD).

THe only information i got about the exception is the return alert info which indicating : java.io.IOException: Status = -20019. The info is helpless to me.

What make me curious is that after i try to make comparison by using 3rd party header checker with some other pages which my device can work with with the exception page

is that the "Server" entry is empty.

After investigating, the "Server" entry is empty is due to web host has disabled the serversignature on the webserver for security reason as the signature will expose on the version and OS platform used by the server.

Or maybe is the webpages is hosted in Linux server?

I really need help for this issue, it already keep me for two weeks.

If anyone has any idea what could be causing such erratic behavior, I'd appreciate your help. Thanks so much!

Hi Mirai,

I think it doesn't matter with webhosted in Linux Server. It must block by the host for some security reason. Please check with your webhost for this issue, maybe the one can help you is he/she.

Best,
Ono
