How to overlay a canvas-like area on an existing canvas (like Google mobile local)  RSS feed

Hi,

Looking at google mobile local j2me UI, makes me wonder how to achieve the effect of overlaying one small canvas-like area on an existing full screen canvas.

I suspect the page on the higher layer is not really a canvas (since it will be a displayable), but some drawings from the existing graphics object. Anyone knows how to achieve the similar?

This makes customized pop-up menu much better looking, instead of relying on the high level lcdui's Command.

Use multiple Imges in offscreen Graphics, draw in each that you need, and and in the main Graphics, shuld clip the rects that looks like a overly frames.
