I'm a J2SE/J2EE programmer with an intermediate background in C++. I've programmed in Symbian C++ before... Now I'm thinking of trying out J2ME. Is there any book that you could recommend for me to start with? Also... There wouldn't be any MIDP 3.0 or anything higher than 2.0 anytime soon right? Thanks!

You can also try out "Wireless development with Java in 21 days by Michael Morrison". I am currently reading this book and find it to be a nice introduction. However the edition I have is an older one.

The J2ME book from Jonathan Knudsen from Apress is the best book in my mind.

Luckily you cannot download copyrighted material for free on that site. Because that would be illegal. It will have a link to Amazon for the book, but would love if you went through our bunkhouse so that JavaRanch can get a small amount of money from the sale rather than the flazx.com site people getting that money.
