Many J2ME developers are probably already aware of this, but I think it's worth spreading these news and have a look.

Opera just released the Opera MINI J2ME browser for a large variety of J2ME phones and PDAs. Check http://mini.opera.com , the MIDlets can be downloaded for free.

The JAR size is reasonably small (100 Kb - taking Motorola RAZR as an example) and the web requests are routed to a proxy which fetches the HTML (not WML) WWW pages requested and sends it back in revised format, according to the device's capabilities.
