Hi all, if i write a seperate xml file and bundle it up with the jar of the midlet, is it possible to read it. As far as i know, j2me doesnt support the file input stream. So do i have to put the entire xml to a string and store it in a recordstore? Thanks...

There is kXML.

But if you have a static XML file, why wouldn't you just want to set up the information in the properties files (JAD file).

Why add the extra burden of having to read, parse, then set from XML?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
