Well man it depends a little bit.... but i would say games have a bigger opening...altought maybe not as big of a paycheck....

Ppl tend to underestimate game programmers and consider this a childrens job... but what they miss is all the physics , Calculus and math involved....

Not all, if you're phone has a Symbian OS, you can use C++ aside from j2me(if it has midp).

See Unni In India networking and Messaging(sms) based applications are really coming up, But games, not even Java Games(j2se) are Industry Stable they are coming up slowly. But as such need for J2me game programmers are really
huge abroad.
But you must be knowing that cldc requires huge expertise to build games just with midp2.Because math calculations sucks without floating math.
And with low memmory, shifting is the most used math operation compared to mult.If you are good in 3D and 2D math and Geometry then jump in for games, else dont take it as a career just because of the fancy towards graphics.Because the inside of what u see in a game is pure optimisation and maths.

Hi unni,

You can find quite alot of companies in J2me in India. They are from game porting ,application development,Game development and developments related to JSRs.Only you have to decide to which field u want to move in J2me...
If you have a good maths skill as well as a good aptitude for games..go for gaming...

Make a Services Management System.
The should be someone (Actor A) sending services for Actor B to do.
This should use the GCF. Or you should use sms to awaken the application.
There you have a project that can whichever technology you want best or use both.
If you have any doubts you can reach me at private message.

Thanks
