Hi Jyothi
You could consult the API for most of these to see what these methods do. Usually they are explained just as well in the API as in any of the study books what's more the API is free. Also its good practice to get used consulting the API as it'll give you a better feel for the language and the interelationships between the various classes and methods. You could also use the search around here as well for loads of indepth explanations
