Hi !!
After having spent several weeks working on the fonctionnalities of my project, I would like now spend a bit of time on the interface.

Honnestly, i think the 'standard' j2me form are really ugly, without color at all.

I searched on google after some exemple of interface, but I found only games or stuff like this.
Do you know any tutorials or examples which could show me how to modify a bit my interface in order to be a bit more beautiful. (i don't need to look like mac os X lol)

I would like to change the application icone, the color of back ground, color of text, title ... stuff like this.

For any help, thanks
Kim

You'll probably find references to this if you search the forum, but I'd recommend checking out J2ME Polish. It's a fairly good set for both handling the aesthetics of your application and implementing it in a manner that's easily carried between platforms (since it generates platform-specific packages). It's not too hard to learn.

If you use the high level UI Apis, then you are pretty much left to how the manufacturer decides to display those componenets. But using the Lower lever APIs like Canvas, you gain more control, but then have to use the Graphics object in the paint method. This is besides Mr Casser's J2ME Polish recommendation, which is very good.
