Hello my friends, I have the following situation:

In the Sony Erics K300 emulator I call an URL with the following format:

In my pc , i am running a servlet that is "listening" to the phone.
Then through the servlet I store in the hard disk of my pc a file with the info of the parameter (part1).

Why this operation works correctly in the emulator but not with the phone, any ideas ? the phone has any restriction in this matter ?

UruguaySE Developer,

You apparently missed our Naming Policy on the way in. We require a real sounding first and last name, separated by a space. Obviously ficticious names are also not allowed.

please go here and correct your display name.

thanks

I don't think d.costa still matches the naming policy. When you change it by clicking the My Profile link, include your full real first name and full real last name with a space between the two.

Thanks.

"localhost:8080"

Well the URL is the issue. localhost is your PC, if the Servlet and the emulator run together on the same machine that URL works, but when you put it on the phone, localhost won't connect to your PC. Plus you PC must be visible to the Internet for your phone to contact it. This means a web server that is registered with an IP to the Net.

ok, but suppose that instead of "localhost" I put an ip for my local machine, it is possible to access it from the phone without accessing internet ?
I mean what i am trying to do is a kind of LAN between my device(telephone) and my pc (acting as a server).
Do you know if it is possible ?

It's not possible, as far as I'm aware, to set up a LAN with a phone and a PC. The issue really is the gateway for your phone is still the cellphone provider - thus, anything you're going to send to your PC is going to be over the internet. So the answer is, if I understand your question right, that it's not possible.
