Converting socketConnection to HTTP Connection

Hi there,
I have developed an application using Socket connection. I have further port the application to Cingular devices. but the problem is on Cingular netwrok Socket doesnot work We have take permisiion from Cingular for doing so. We decided to change the code from SocketConnection to HTTP connection. Can anybody help me in this regard.
Any suggestion how shud I proceed, what are the changes that has to be made in serverside and the client side.

Well because you used the Generic Connection Framework, you just change the URL String in the getConnection method. Now I think it also depends on if there is any specific methods that you used on the SocketConnection object that is not in the HttpConnection object. On the serverside you now need to have a Servlet return the content that was used to be passed through the SocketConnection.

There might be more, but that is what I thought of.
