Hi There,
I am a j2me application developer.
I wanted to know that can we increase the size of the record store which is provided by the system. I tried my application on phone but most of the phones are having a limit of 30K in RMS.I want this size increased.
Is there any way so that increase the size of the record store because I want to store the data of size more than 300K.

Thanks

Vishal Kumar

The problem is that J2ME devices don't have much memory, and the device manufacturer has a minimum to meet via the spec, but decide how high they will let you go, so you are always limited.

So when designing J2ME applications you need to keep this in mind and question why you might need so much data stored on the device.

You can't extend the RMS memory.

RMS size is differ for mobile to mobile. Even Latest mobiles having much RMS capacity. But still we can't use whole RMS memory for a single RecordStore. But all these critiria differ from mobile to mobile.
