Hi
I am writing an application which uses a .png file. This image file is added to the JAR as a resource file. My question is, is it possible to update this .png file after downloading the application? meaning if the user is given the URL which holds the updated .png on the server is it possible to replace the existing .png with the new one?
One more question, what is the maximum size of the image which a MIDP 2.0 phone can load dynamically to the phone? Is there a restriction or not? or does it depend on the device manufacturer? Thanks and regards.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
