Is it Possible to capture voice from mobile phone using J2ME? , if yes, then which are the classes(or API) to do it?

Hi,
Yes we can capture audio with J2ME, check out the media package of MIDP 2.0 for a less complex work and check out MMAPI for much more complex tasks including video as well. Regards..

There are many audio recording examples on the net. I believe the WTK includes an audio capture example. You can also look here.

Guys, just interested in knowing how many phones out there support voice recording. Is thte number on a steady increase ?

It seems that phones has JSR 135 can record voice, if that's the case, you can have a look at: http://java.sun.com/javame/reference/index.jsp

Click on the DEVICES, there is a list of all Java phones, select JSR 135 as criteria and it should list all JSR 135 phones.

The list is not updated frequently, so several new phones are not there.
