Thanks for posting this question.. I think this is quite interesting... Did you get any solution ?
Does anyone have any answers for this ?
I do not think it is possible to invoke AMS to delete an application by sending an SMS. Is there any other possibility ?
However, from the security standpoint, I think that the mobile user will need to confirm even if there is a solution to remotely delete J2ME application.

I wanted to know if there is a way to delete the J2ME application remotely.
That is i should initiate the deletion of the application with a request/notification from the server(the server can send an SMS).
Please let me know if it is possible or not.
Think about it this way. Can you think of ways Hackers can cause problems to your phone if this feature was available in J2ME? If so, then no it would not be possible. The biggest thing with J2ME is that the apis cannot harm the phone in anyway, hence the sandbox security. So anything outside the sandbox, won't be able to get in.
I think in case of trial version you will need to put in necessary restriction in the application itself to stop it from working. I am sure you will not want to allow some 3rd party applicaiton developer to remotely connect to your mobile device and then delete the application, at least not without your consent.
