I want to write a j2me application on a mobile which then connects to a bluetooth dongle connected to a PC (I'll write a normal java application for the PC side to accept connections)

I'll then need to send data back and forth between the PC and mobile.

Should the Sony K750i work fine if I attempt to write a program that connects to a Bluetooth Dongle such as this one...

http://www.memorybits.co.uk/shop/bluetooth-dongles/100-meter-bluetooth-dongle-/4002

I read that the K750i supports JSR-82 so they should work together fine shouldn't they?

Bluetooth support on Linux via a dongle is excellent and my Bluetooth phones have no issues with it. I can do basic file send/receive via OBEX - on the desktop it's a simple "send to..." menu option. The phone uses the "beam file" feature.

I haven't used the Java Bluetooth APIs, but the docs seem to indicate it's fairly straightforward.
