Hi everyone,

When I use a simple try/catch block in a J2ME application, an Unhandled Exception is thrown, when I run it on the Nokia N95 (Symbian S60). See the two listings below:

Listing 1 - Application that runs succesfully

Listing 2 - Application that results in an Unhandled Exception

(Note that both applications do run fine in the Nokia S60 emulator.) Apparently, the JVM on the N95 does not accept the try/catch block for some reason. Also, when I replace the Exception type hint with for example, java.lang.Exception or NullPointerException, the Unhandled Exception is still thrown.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

Jeroen

Problem solved...

I have used the NetBeans Mobility Pack (Sun Java Wireless Toolkit) to build the deployable application instead of builing it manually and now it works!

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
