I am wondering how those who have taken the Sun Java 2 programmer certification exam and used the "complete java 2 certification study guide by roberts, heller and ernest" found the exam. In other words, how did you find the test in relation to the questions that are featured in the book, as well as the "mock exams" that are shipped with the book. Are they at all comparable to the "real" thing?
Regards
/Petr

They are really really close to the real exam.
If you want to know if they are harder or easier i have to say the real exam is little harder. Not much! very little like 5% out of 100%. Just my opinion and good luck on your exam. I didn't use the RHE book but another book. But i did take all the RHE exams. I got them from a friend who bought the book.

The book is ok and so are the mocks but I wouldn't say that they are that much similar to the real thing. Sorry if it's something bad... But one thing I would like to point out though , it is the best book to study for this exam along with khalid Mughal's if you want any additional help...
I also used the sybex book! with my compiler and the API. Beginning Java 2 by Ivor Horton is my all time favorite java book though, for what matter...

Thank you for your reply.
It's really good to hear different opinions on the matter. I wouldn't say that it's necessarily a bad thing if the test isn't anything like the exams that comes with the book. It is, however, the only book I've used and I'm thinking about taking the exam within the next two weeks.
I'll consider buying your recommended book, if there's any time to read it that is :-).
