I've never done anything with threads and the whole topic is new to me. Anyone have a recommendation for a good book to start with on java threads?
Also, from everything I have been reading, it seems like threads in java have changed a good deal recently. If so, how relevant will the books be?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin -
I recommend the book Java Threads by Scott Oaks and Henry Wong. Like many O'Reilly books it starts out pretty simple, but expects that you will meditate on the early chapters, because the later chapters pick up the pace.
Matthew Phillips reviewed this book in our Bunkhouse and seemed to really like it. I'm not familiar with it but I'd follow Matthew's judgment on faith.
