Hello world,
I am writting a stock controlling system. So far it is not a network based product (multiple users), but I want to make it a multi user system. So the question I want to ask is that for this do I need to consider about thread which I don't understand at all.(The thread concept). My system has a billing section also which can generate bills. It takes the Priceper unit and details from a database. I have features say for example an item which the user entere to the bill is not wanted by the customer the user can delete it from the bill. This will automatically update the qauntity level in the database. So please do advice me on this.
Thank you very much in advance.......

These are thread resources in case you decide you need them.

Multiple threads by Bruce Eckel

I guess you program has a GUI. If any of the tasks your program will carry out takes enough time that the GUI freezes you will need Threads.
Generally speaking any potentially lenthy operation --waiting for response in a client-server program, accessing databases, accessing to disk -- might impact negatively your program if not enough threads are performing them. But be careful, threads objects are very expensive. Balance between the number of threads and the work to be done is the key.
