sir/madam,
can a user explicitly create a multithreaded program in java if so how can we do that?what r the diff types of thread.can i link a thread to a function.what r the different states of thread.what is an API in java

Yes, you can write multithreaded programs in Java. This is a fine guide to doing so which should answer all your other questions.

Taking priority with a grain of salt. OS has final say. BEA or IBM for enterprise thread control.
