pls give link to threads tutorial and help me to make webserver through threads

hii

can any body knows some link or tutorial which can teach the thread in v.simple way..
actually i m reading K&B and understand what thread are and how they work ..

but i m facing huge problem while understanding syncronization ...specially when we syncronize block of code using some object..
i understand till the level that we are using objects lock to syncronize the block of code and nothing rest...
by rest i mean..
what does the effect of it to whole program..
what its advantage
i can't able to make thread program with this amount of knowledge..

i have good programming logic..but one can't make program till one understand the tool ( i.e thread) ...so guys pls help how to really get command over thread so i have atleast knowledge to make any damm difficult thread program

my aim is not only to pass scjp wiht 100% in threads but
my aim is to make one server maybe mailserver or webserver...( even of cheap quality then later good quality .. ) but i will only achive if i have good command of threads

So pls help to get good stuff and help me to achive my goal.
pls give me tips to get strong thread programming..
specailly unnderstand the fundass.. rest i will handle..

i think we all aim big in threads...to become good programmer...
so post max no of reply..

The Sun Tutorial is pretty good. I've recently done a Wiki server which is a flavor of web server and would be happy to talk about any specific issues you come up against. See what you can get running and post some code if you get stuck. The threading parts of a web server are probably a lot simpler than you think.

Actually i have not done much java programming.....so, it will be v.v..v.v.v..v.v great full to you...that you please guide me
how to go for building a webserver or mail server....

what should be need ... i mean what should be my direction to make one..
can u pls provide a blue-print for me...

what actually is need technology wise...and where and what part of thead programming is needed i mean how much ?
should i use only java programming language.. or what ?

you don't belive ...that i m v. exited to do something like that which will give me satsifaction that i have develop something..

i mean i know a webserver will handle http response/request but how ? how to the request will come in text form or what ..? and from where...browswer..so from where to catch the browser request and how to parse it.....

( is i m writing in right direction ? )

and how to reply... how to pick the webpage and deliver to it... give me idea...

ok that for webserver...


and what should one visulize to develop small application server and mail server..
please don't laugh on me.... is it require huge amt of coding and what else what other technical theory is need for that ?

pls help me.................pls become my mentor....

i think one must aim for stars and if one reaches moon his efforts don't get waisted..

Along with that threads tutorial, try Sun's All About Sockets. They actually build some little client/server applications to give you a feel for what servers do. You might browse a local bookstore for a Java networking book with something about building a simple web server in the table of contents. Again, work through the examples in the tutorials, get some code up and running (or almost running) and we'll all try to help you along.
