Multithreading in Java  RSS feed

when multiple threads are created in a java program, will all the threads be passed to the operating system or just one thread ?

Depends on the JVM -- there may be a few older JVMs that still do user level threading.

However, all modern JVMs today will use the underlying OS threading system. This means that it is the OS that manage the threads running in the JVM.
