Hello all,

I am trying to get the threads created at runtime from outside the multithreaded application. I have a multi threaded application (say BoundedBufferMonitor application) which I am loading on to a debugger called JSWAT. I am trying to add my module to JSWAT so that I can find the number of threads created at run time. Since this module is totally outside the multithreaded application package(BoundedBufferMonitor application), I really dont know how to find the threads created by the Bounded Buffer Monitor program. Any help in this regard is extremely appreciated.

Please help.

Thanks in advance,

Arun

Don't know anything about JSWAT, but look into JConsole in Java 5 and later. The APIs that it uses are public so you can use them too. Maybe you can add something into your JSWAT environment to use them?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
