Hi,

I figure I really should find out about Java 5 built-in concurrency libraries (java.util.concurrency etc.), with a view to migrating away from in-house equivalents, which are almost certainly less good. I would like to buy a book to learn about this.

I am pretty good with multi-threading in general, and how to use the basic synchronized, wait(), notify() etc. Also, I already have our esteemed friend Henry Wong's Java Threads, pre-Java-5 edition. So I don't want a book which spends most of its time talking about that stuff. I want one that spends a good deal of its time talking about the new Java 5 libraries.

Your suggestions?

You could always try Brian's book Concurrency

I don't know of any book that expounds the individual classes. Sun's concurrency forum has lots of entries about people's dealings with particular classes.

Just as a quick clarification, the latest edition, does cover all the Java 5 concurrency libraries.
